LATHIROZ
Hi there, I'm Lathiroz! I started doing art as a hobby, but I currently work as a full-time freelance artist!I started doing digital art in 2018 without any prior knowledge on traditional art, or really, art in general. I'm a self-taught artist, which means everything I have learned about art, I learned from the internet (mostly Youtube) on my own.I specialize in drawing anthropomorphic characters (furries), specifically, canines.

2018 art
2018 was the year I started doing art. Here you can see some of the progress I made through the year. Keep in mind that these were the "best" pieces of art I had at the time... There were much worse artworks than these.Programs: Medibang, Paint Tool SAI, Adobe Photoshop 2017

2019 ART
2019 was probably (as far as I remember) my most active year, art wise. I remember actively studying all sorts of concepts, and being specifically interested in light and color theory. I also started posting my art online at the time (specifically to Amino, that... great place), so I felt some pressure to find a consistent, recognizable artstyle, which actually had the opposite effect on me cause I kept on trying many many artstyles and my art just ended up becoming quite inconsistent. These are, once again, the best pieces I had at that time.Programs: Adobe Photoshop 2018, Clip Studio Paint, Medibang

2020 ART
2020 was the year where I really put some effort on learning about color and light theory, I kept on drawing portraits because that was what was most enjoyable to me... but also, I was just not interested in studying anatomy. You can see one half body here, and that's all I could find in my files.Programs: Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Photoshop 2019

2021 ART
2021 was a... year.
I was burned out the whole year due to university, mental health problems and physical health problems. I was actively forcing myself to get over my fear of drawing full-body characters, all the while taking commissions and just trying to make money off my art since I became the typical "broke college student". It wasn't a very good year for me overall, and it reflected on my art too... Everything became more... dull, apart from a few pieces. I also dwelled into some scenery painting but it just wasn't my thing.Programs: Clip Studio Paint

2022 ART
In 2022 I decided that I was finally going to start studying anatomy, alongside some other art fundamentals I had glossed over or had completely skipped. This was, however, very draining. Together with the problems from the year prior that were still lingering on, the vast majority of my 2022 artworks were unfinished sketches and studies; I had hardly made any finished pieces in that time period. I also stopped taking commissions almost completely, for my own sanity.Programs: Clip Studio Paint

2023 ART
2023 was just 2022 on steroids. Too many studies, hardly any finished stuff. I was studying too much theory but hardly practicing any of it. I got very good at SEEING the mistakes, but my brain wasn't yet used to applying the concepts I learned. The mistakes would jump right at me and bit by bit, I became more and more demotivated. Making art became a constant struggle, it wasn't enjoyable anymore.Programs: Clip Studio Paint

2024 ART
I got chronic wrist pain. Ironically, this has been my most productive year ever so far.Programs: Clip Studio Paint

Pricing
My pricing is only available on the commission form. Unfortunately, this does mean that when the commission form closes, the prices are no longer visible. However, I also can't outright state what my prices are either, as they get updated whenever I open for commissions (sometimes they stay the same, sometimes they get raised, sometimes they get lowered, it depends on many variables).Over the past year there was a pretty big leap in the pricing of my comms, as commission work became my job while I work my way through college. The price range I would imagine for this year would be (taking in account the last pricing and possible future pricing updates):Full-body: anywhere from $130 to $200
Half-body: anywhere from $90 to $170
Bust: anywhere from $60 to $100
Headshot: anywhere from $50 to $90The specific pricing would/will only be available on the commission form when open. These are just estimates so people can have an idea of how much it would cost to commission me, and then decide if they will rather commission me, or spend their money on a different artist. For backgrounds I observe that the average pricing is usually around $50, not much more than that. Background pricing depends on the complexity of the background, so there aren't fixed prices for them anyway.Hopefully this is enough insight to help you consider where best to spend your budget. If you find my art worth your money, then, consider filling my commission form when it's open (announced on my social media accounts)! The forms are never first-come-first-serve, so even if you submit your entry very late (like, at the literal last hour), there's still a chance you may get picked! The form requires you to sign into your Google account. If you're just curious and want to check it out without submitting anything, I won't know/won't see any of the information you typed there unless you click "Submit" at the very last page, so, feel free!
